What can you expect from BAN Flanders?

• BAN Flanders can fill a funding need between 25.000 and 1.000.000 €. In 90% of our realised deals, the amount is in between. If you work with a business angel, you can supplement the contribution via BAN Flanders with co-financing from PMV and Angelwise, the Flanders Angels Fund.
• How does it work? At BAN Flanders you are immediately assigned an individual regional contact. He or she wil guide and provide you a global analysis and screening of the business plan, invite you to training courses, and ensure that your project is presented to business angels by including your project on our angel platform Dealum, in a confidential newsletter and by participating in online and offline matching events. When negotiating with interested business angels, BAN Flanders provides neutral dealguiding services and objective guidance with a set of proven documents such as a balanced and sustainable term sheet, contracts and agreements. So from A to Z throughout the process, you will always enjoy the support of an expert BAN Flanders employee.
• You can also count on BAN Flanders’ discretion. If a project is accepted, it will initially be presented anonymously to the business angels in order to protect the entrepreneur in question. We will only inform the affiliated members of BAN Flanders about your project proposal.
• All business angels of BAN Flanders have signed our code of conduct, which commits them to the necessary confidentiality and deontology. A separate NDA therefore becomes unnecessary, making the process fast.
• BAN Flanders is active throughout the region and has local antennae in all Flemish provinces to ensure fast accessibility. There are also opportunities to expand your project beyond national borders as our business angels are often already active internationally. BAN Flanders had many connections with investor networks and platforms abroad.
• Do like all the other companies who have gone before you and successfully obtained funding from us. Our intake is always free of charge and noncommittal.

Do you qualify?

• An initial screening of the projects is done based on a thorough intake by your regional coordinator and your elaborated business plan. We also expect a financial plan with achieved successes and a medium-term planning for the future.

What will it cost?

Good agreements make good friends! Pitching at BAN Flanders is very transparent in all areas, including pricing. This distinguishes us from many other players in the market:

• The intake with you regional coordinator is FREE, including all meetings and guidance to optimally present your project to business angels in preparation for your project.
• After acceptance of your project, you as a company pay a one-time fee of 650€ (excl. 21% VAT). This covers all services and costs provided by BAN Flanders:
  • counseling sessions with the coordinator for finetuning of your business plan;
  • upload your project on the online investor platform DEALUM;
  • your participation at the online and offline pitch sessions;
  • your video pitch at our enclosed BAN Flanders YouTube channel for business angels;
  • unlimited deal guiding services by experienced deal guides in discussions with interested business angels;
  • introduction to Angelwise, the Flanders Angels Fund
  • communication and PR after the closed deal
  • our WISE Academy is ALWAYS FREE accessible for additional information!
• Only in the event of a successful deal, a variable remuneration is also due by the capital-injected company, the amount of which depends on the financial contribution  realised via BAN Flanders. The table (see overview) shows the calculation of the remuneration. The same table also applies to other cofinancers that we – in consultation with you – can introduce into your company (PMV, etc.). BAN Flanders does NOT charge a fee to investors that came to you through other channels or that you found yourself.
